Notice of Funding Opportunity

When responding to a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) or Program Announcement (PA), you may find that it references NIAAA Guide Notice NOT-AA-23-002 on the sharing of individual-level human subjects data with NDA. Even at this first stage in the process, this Notice describes the expectation of data sharing for most types of grants involving human subjects. If this Notice is applicable to your grant, you will need to include in your grant application an appropriate plan for sharing the study data with the NDA, consistent with their submission protocol. This protocol, and the steps you should consider ahead of time, are described on the next pages of this website, along with resources to assist you in preparing.
